have the find & replace utility be able to change part numbers

Have the utility be able to change a part number. We have customers that get bought out or they just decide to change their part numbering and if we change it in Jobboss we loose all history

    You can change the "type" of a material (ie, change a "finished good" to a "hardware" or a "supply", or a "hardware" to a "supply" or "finished good", etc..) by using the JBUtil.exe utility on your server and selecting the "re-type materials" option. Most often, you'll find this file in the "utilities" folder.

    I need to change the Type on a Material from hardware to finished good. it has happened over time when a wrong type has been entered for a correct customer item, and we are forever stuck with it on the wrong pick report.

    Andy, Find and Replace only allows us to change material if it is a part when stock but not a part number for something we build

    The Find & Replace Utility does allow you to change part numbers.
