Prior to rescheduling we need to manually go into the job and clear the material due date for each one of the material line items on the parent as well as the component jobs. If we do not do this the material due date will not change even though we have cleared the schedule and rescheduled the job in the Job Scheduling module. If you forget to clear the schedule on the job then the old material due date becomes a legacy date and we run the risk of having material here too soon or the material might come in late. This is extremely time consuming. We have jobs that are out years in the future and we frequently have to reschedule these jobs per our customers request. Most of our jobs have multiple material line items and we need to have accurate material due dates because we have some materials that have 40 or more weeks of lead time.
Still wandering why this won't/can't be implemented.
