Currently the only option is to close or delete the Sales Order. The problem with deleting the Sales Order we then have no record of the order being cancelled. if we close it then it looks like it was an order that was completed unless we do an investigation on the actual order.

I would agree; now that we have CANCELLED as an option in Job Entry, the same CANCELLED option should be available in Sales Orders. Internally, we have decided to NOT start using CANCELLED (even tho' we would like to) because it we be confusing to be able to have a customer-cancelled order marked CANCELLED in a job, but a customer cancelled SALES ORDER still must have the status of CLOSED. Hopefully JobBOSS will be able to add the CANCELLED status option to Sales Orders in a future update/release.
I don't have the Cancel option in job entry, so Cancelled should also be added to Job Entry as an option.
Should have been implemented when they created the Sales Order Entry module. They finally put this status in Job Entry module, but I guess they don't believe sales orders can be cancelled.
