Too many clicks becomes a time waste and facilitates more error possibilities. If there were a way to duplicate an existing quote EXACTLY into a SO by one click, we could eliminate the need to copy from and have to drag each line item over. Most of the time my customers order everything I quote.
Total duplication of effort to take information in one form and have to reproduce in another, and as stated above, increases the possibility of errors. I've reproduced the same functionality in an Access database form. Albeit, that's Access, but it's not that hard of a process to replicate data.
With current labor shortages, it's imperative that our active employees are more efficient. Time-eliminating steps would be greatly appreciated.
Quickbooks already does this. I expected JobBoss would too. That really is too bad. I hope this will get added soon.
And if there was a separate button to create a new job via the one-click method. That way, either sales orders or job entries would both be one-click. Job entries might be a little more rough because a job only references one part per job but I think JobBOSS could do it.
We don't use the Sales order but if it created new Jobs that would be lovely also.
Or better yet, add the ability to select either the entire quote or check box individual line items within a quote to One-Click order.
