JobBOSS | Ideas

Sorting job entry search by job doesn't search in numerical order.

We recently went from job number 99999 to 100000 and now when we search by job number in job entry it puts the 100000 job numbers ahead of the numbers that start with 9, rather than putting them in numerical order. We can search by order date, but then the jobs with component jobs are all jumbled and not in any order.

We are finding this to be a problem in quotes.

We just came across the same issue. Just hit 100,000 and all of our new jobs are at the bottom!

Jobs can have letters in them so this is an alpha-numeric field. They sort they implemented is a basic alpha-numeric search. They would have to improve their sort function to handle this correctly. It is also the case in many other fields in jobboss.
