EMERGENCY Contact Information for Employees

We currently are having to use most of the Custom tab fields to be able to have Emergency contact information for our employees. And there are other things we would like to be able to use these field for. Plus the Custom tab is not laid out well for this information.

In light of the current issue with COVID 19 it is imperative that we have accurate and current contact and emergency contact information for our employees.

For some time we have been trying to make sure that we annually review this information in Jobboss but this is mostly a manual task that we have to try and remember to do.

I have implemented something similar to Oscar's suggestion and made a custom report in Crystal Reports, but it will be easy to forget the Custom Notes button at the time of entry - I think it would be easier to have fields available for completing.

    Recommended fields:

Name, Relationship, Mobile Phone, Work Phone, Home Phone (?), Email, and Address 1 & 2, City, State, Zip

Suggestion until JobBoss incorporates this into their system,

If you are familiar with Crystal Reports,

In JobBoss you could use the Employee Internal Notes or the Custom tab's Notes fields to capture this information. If you already use it for something else you may still use this field while adding containment brackets for the information to be filtered out during the report runtime.

    For example:
    [EMERGENCYCONTACT-START] XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX [EMERGENCYCONTACT-END]

Create a custom report in Crystal Reports with [Employee] and [User_Values] data tables and display the relevant information you want.

For example: A list of active employee's current emergency contact information or a list of employees missing this information.

For updating or scheduling you can use KnoweledgeSync, Datalink Viewer, Jeff-Net, etc...

Make sure you document the data entry requirements and custom report settings as this is a set it and forget it type of thing.
