When you print an order acknowledgement, it should show the date it was entered not the current date. When you re-send or send to a customer it looks to them like you just entered the order

    No need for a print date on any acknowledgement. The requested and promised dates are shown so what else would you need.

    This has caused massive confusion -- both internally and externally. There is NO reason that anyone has ever needed a print date on a SO Acknowledgement.

    This is an issue whenever dealing with material in a market that 

    is commodity driven. The Acknowledgement date starts a clock you do not want to reset

    Agreed. I noticed this as well and has been an issue in the past.
