Decimal Places for Qty fields

Material quantities can be managed on JobBOSS to 2d.p. via the Material Adjustments module.  This works fine for us to manage our weight based materials in KG as 0.01KG is a reasonable resolution.

However, most other modules in JobBOSS can only handle integers (i.e. 0d.p.!!) for their Qty fields. This means that when we have to sell or make these weight based materials we need to run superfluous entries in Material Adjustments to correct the decimal places.

It would be highly beneficial to allow the same 2.d.p. for the Qty fields in the other main modules (Job Entry, Transfers, Sales Order Entry, Quote Entry, Time Entry etc).

There should be minimal risk to changing these fields for reporting as these could change from one number type (integer) to another (e.g. Double) which Crystal Reports can interpret without issue and the time taken to check/implement should be quick as it is hopefully just a field type update for you.

Please consider this for one of your regular product enhancements.

(Note: we have tried running units like grams instead but regular cases of typos on large number of zeros needing to be entered made this too risky to continue compared to managing in KG)

As a manufacturing business that sells and installs materials by the meter. When we quote our customers they want to see the pricing per exact meter. E2 requires you to round up or down to the next whole number in the qty field. Being able to have 2 - 4 decimal places available in the qty field would be extremely useful. Especially since this was a feature in previous versions of Job Boss.

Commenting hopefully for a response. A few of our vendors send RFQ responses that have 3 or 4 decimal places in the quantity field and it makes it annoying to have to either modify quantity/pricing to get the desired total cost, or add an 'additional cost' which looks bad included on PO's. Cost already goes out 5 decimals, why not quantity as well?
