Customer invoice number length
We would like the invoice number to be expanded to 20 characters. It makes matching up the different customer documents much easier.

We've encountered this problem as well; now that we are using multiple JobBOSS databases for our different business locations, we would like to be able to use a prefix or suffix to identify where documents are from and also, to code for cross-reference with some of our larger accounts. We find the 8 characters extremely limiting; the customers we work with that require electronic invoicing, have a 16 character field size.
just last week we hit this problem.
Really? 8 characters? When JB was designed, that might have been considered enough, but then again, my first computer had a whopping 64 kilobytes of RAM. That was fine for DOS.
Things change. Give us expanded Invoice numbers, PO numbers, Job numbers, Material IDs and descriptions.....
