Lengthen FIRST NAME field in the System Administration Employee module

Why is it useful ?

  • Because we would like to always respect our employee's names and be able to correctly record them in JobBOSS.

Who would benefit from it ?

  • Employees (would see their name correctly displayed on reports, etc.)

  • Accounting and Admin staff (would be able to correctly enter employee names)

  • Supervisors (would be able to search by / see employee name instead of needing to remember that the first name has been shortformed or substituted)

How should it work ?

  • In the JobBOSS > System Administration > Employee > module on the GENERAL tab, the First Name field would allow more characters; currently, it is limited to 10 which, with the name Christopher, doesn't allow us to show the "R".

  • This isn't a "time saver" for us - this is a case of being able to show respect to our employees; to me, this is something that 100% impacts our ability to show that respect.

    Not only is this inaccurate record keeping, but from my understanding if we were to purchase the center point module for Payroll this would not show up correctly on their pay stubs, W2, ect. This should be changed immediately.
