MANAGE INVENTORY on GL side by expanding the Price field in the Additional Charges tab under Pricing in a Job & add Qty.

This would allow the customer to put in a cost per piece to carry over to the invoice under additional charges.  The price field needs more unit price decimal places and a quantity.  Right now, this filed only brings over a total cost and no quantity.  This addition would be useful if you want to manage inventory on the GL side by allowing you to select a different sales code for a portion of the part cost. 

 

When you write a PO for raw material, such as a casting or molded part, you would hit an Inventory GL account.  Then your piece price is the Unit price in the Job that hits the Sales account.  The cost for the casting would be entered into the Additional Charges area and hit your Inventory account.  No need for manual Journal Entries.  An option for a blended price on the invoice would also be nice if you do not want the customer to know the raw material cost.
